(Above) detail collage, the upper left image shows the floor where there were terra cotta lion sculptures installed on either sides of the windows. Top Right shows one of the little lions I salvaged.

Lower right where the red arrow is denotes the location of one of the sculptures I removed around 1977. Lower left yellow arrow denotes one of the sculptures as they appeared before removal. The photo is not very clear and somewhat dark because it is a 25+ year old Polaroid, but it shows how these items were used.

The lion sculptures are identical to one of two designs removed from a building on 60th Street and Columbus Ave one of the two designs is shown below (The other design was a corner block with the lion motiff on it);

The only difference between the two is the height, and one was yellow terra cotta the other was red terra cotta, obviously they were made by the same company.
